ENG: Intruduction or first post
Ahoy!
I think it’s about time I properly introduce myself. I’m Kristina Piirimaa, and here’s where there should probably be a long story about how photography has had me spellbound since I was a kid, all the places I studied it, and what I’ve achieved so far. You know, the kind of bio you might copy-paste into wikipedia someday at the end of your life’s journey. But I'm not here to join the endless biography club. Life isn’t just about big accomplishments; it’s the everyday moments, the subtle shades, and that quiet thrill inside that make it all really meaningful for me.
I’ve been lucky. And when I say lucky, I mean the incredible people I’ve met along the way—those who inspire me to this day, give me strength, and help me keep moving forward, growing, and being who I am today. Some of them I’ve been lucky enough to thank personally, and with others, that moment hasn’t come yet. But just know, I’m truly grateful to every one of you from the bottom of my heart.
Yes, I’m kind of (very!) low-key on personal social media, but there’s a good reason for that. I’ve been deep in the trenches of social media for various brands, and on top of that, in the public sector, to the point where there’s just no energy left for my own posts. I’ve been building up brands, filling feeds, and feeling so overloaded with content that sometimes, I just want to shut it all down after work.
So, what’s my vibe? Communication to perfection. And no, not that mechanical, half-hearted type—I'm talking about intentional, individual (in-di-vid!) conscious connections and real convos. I genuinely believe that connecting with others is the only way to truly experience reality. How we interact with the world and each other? That’s a choice for each of us, and it’s not dictated by trends or the crazy-fast pace of daily life. Every thinking person builds their emotional intelligence and strives to keep growing.
After some serious life changes, all that learning, and my search for zen, I’m finally at a place where I don’t feel like sitting on the sidelines. Documentary photography? It’s my biggest passion, hands down, and I’m finally ready to start digging into those gigabytes I’ve been stacking up over the past decade. Plus, I’m still all about photographing events. Since moving back to Ida-Viru County, I’ve already captured a few events and am totally ready to keep going at full speed.
Let’s stay connected!
xoxo
Kristina
